Warframe is a free to play game that is currently available on steam, xbox one, and ps4. Warframe is a type of game that you can easily spend hundreds if not thousands of hours on. Personally, I have put in about 300 hours into the game and although I have not played it at all recently, I plan on going back one day for possibly hundreds of hours more.
The game can be played solo however I found it the most fun when playing with friends. The gameplay loop can be very addicting and if it hooks you you will find yourself coming back for more everyday. The main goal in the game is to craft weapons, and different frames (essentially different suits of armor). This is done by going to different areas and defeating certain enemies/bosses. So if you want to craft a specific weapon you will need to research what enemy drops the parts for the weapon, then you will need to travel their to defeat the enemy and craft your weapon. You do this same loop for just about every item in the game. So if this gameplay sounds uninteresting to you then I would not recommend this game for you.
The moment to moment gameplay in Warframe however is amazing. In this world you have a lot of freedom and speed while you traverse through different enviorments. This makes every mission feel like a race to the finish, and although this might sound a little stressful, overtime I learned to love this mission structure. My one complaint about the game is that it can be very intimidating for a beginner to get in to. If you decide to play Warframe be ready to have the Warframe Wiki up as you will be looking up a lot of information. Sadly the developers keep adding content updates that add many things for people to learn. With that being said, Warframe is one of the few games I love, and I can not wait to get for the day I decide to go back and explore the game again.
In the end I would recommend Warframe to somebody who really wants to get lost into a new game. If you love loot and grinding out bosses I believe this game might be a really good game for you.
